Fostering kindness increases Colleague satisfaction and feeling good about ourselves leads on to so many positive outcomes. As a Carer in our Fosse Way View care home, you'll join us at the beginning of our exciting journey and take responsibility for the physical and emotional wellbeing and social needs of our residents. It’s about helping residents with their personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and assisting with meals, while supporting the Manager and the rest of our team as we get our new home up and running.
As a Senior Carer in this exciting role, you’ll help us build a brand new team of carers before leading and inspiring them to deliver the kind of care that will give our residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence. You’ll work alongside the Manager as we build up our Fosse Way View team, while making sure we maintain the highest standards of care whether you’re showing someone how to use a walking frame, helping someone at the end of their life to eat a meal, or talking to a resident’s family on the phone.
Just like all of our homes, we’re making wellbeing a priority at Fosse Way View. And we can’t wait to begin helping our Residents live a fulfilling life by enabling them to do the things that make them feel good, and which bring them a sense of happiness and satisfaction. As our Wellbeing Co-ordinator, you’ll treat Residents with dignity and respect, support them to get involved in activities they choose, and help everyone who works here to understand that they are people - just like us.
What’s especially exciting about Fosse Way View is that it will offer a genuine sense of the good life for everyone who lives here. That begins with our dining facilities, and we’re proud to offer a choice of both indoor and outdoor venues. As our Head Chef, you’ll grow, manage and motivate our brand-new kitchen team to cook and serve nutritious, healthy meals within budget that our Residents will love. You’ll need proven experience of leading a professional kitchen operation within a hotel or restaurant environment and be a creative chef with experience of delivering menus, new dishes and special events and an eye for food presentation. You’ll have an S/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent catering qualification with Food Hygiene Certificate at a minimum Level 3 and a good understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Ponts. And you’ll be organised, energetic, great at communicating, and just as kind as we are.
