This is an exciting time for us as we launch our brand new care home, build a brilliant team, and grow the number of Residents who live here. What also makes Mossdale Residence different is our ambition to offer a hotel style living experience. Which means there are lots of opportunities to join us at the start of our journey.
We’re looking for experienced people across a wide range of roles, from nursing, care and wellbeing, to housekeeping, catering, administration and maintenance. And we’d especially like to work with people who’ve been affected by the coronavirus pandemic. So, if you’re a keyworker, or you have experience in hospitality or hotel services, we’d love to hear from you, too.
As part of the team at Mossdale Residence, you’ll discover a modern and dynamic working environment. We’re committed to investing in our people from day one, which means you’ll be able to make the most of fantastic career support and award winning opportunities to learn and develop new skills. Not to mention a wide range of brilliant benefits including access to GP Online run by Aviva, membership of “Be Supported”, a free Employee Assistance Programme provided by AXA, and fantastic discounts at over 1600 high street locations.
For those in Care, quality of life is the most important thing. No other team is as dedicated, focused or passionate about the delivery of that quality care, than HC-One. Mossdale Residence builds on that approach and offers a home for life for people with wide ranging and changing needs.
We also believe that quality of life is just as important as quality of care. Some Residents really enjoy getting involved in the day-to-day running of the home, whether that’s helping in the garden or café, delivering post, or organising events, and we encourage everyone who works here to help them achieve whatever it is that gives them their own personal sense of wellbeing.
It’s a simple approach, and it’s one where kindness plays a huge part in everything we do.
You’ll find Mossdale Residence on Bad Bargain Lane, immediately next to “The Centre” at Burnholme. It’s a popular residential area of York, and conveniently positioned for access to York City centre.
The home comprises three independent living communities offering different levels of care. Our Minster Community supports Residents who need extra support due to physical frailty. Our Melrose Community looks after Residents with increasing frailty and sensory or memory impairments. While our Maltings Community is designed for Residents who receive care from our professional nursing team.
Throughout the home, all Residents can experience a genuine sense of the good life, with a choice of indoor and outdoor dining venues, a library, a varied wellbeing programme, and much more. Not only does it help our Residents feel more connected to the community, it creates a wonderful place to work, and somewhere you can discover a naturally positive work/life balance.
